Dark Island Swinging Bridge

Dark Island Swinging Bridge is one of the last public access swinging bridges left in the area.

Just off the main road in Townsend near a Catholic Church. Stretches over the river and view is great. Right behind the Little River Railroad and Lumber Museum

People at the visitor center said the property on one side had changed hands several times, making that side private property. The signs indicated “No trespassing,” but we were told that there was a narrow strip that could be walked to get to road on the other side.
